Our plans for the future

Thank you! The fact that you are reading this means that you're joining us on a social movement to help us all save money and energy!

The Energy Community is just that...a community, and therefore we're always going to be honest and open about our future.

This forum is where we will let you know what the future holds, and where you can ask us all the questions you want to ask. If you have any ideas that you think would be really great, then let us know and we'll take all your suggestions into account when planning for the future!

So without further ado, here are some of our future visions:

We're currently a very young organisation, at Stage 1 of our journey. In stage 1, we want to get people talking. We want to facilitate the sharing of energy related experiences, ideas and tips between people. Alongside the forum, we'll be developing school and community workshops to run in the Sheffield area.

Once our community has started and developed, we'll be seeking funding and to get stage 2 underway. The details of this stage are to be confirmed, but the aims are:

1. To allow membership on our actual website, where members will have access to personalised information, experiences and tips on energy saving
2. To provide ways to track your successful savings
3. To run workshops in an area near you to build skills and understanding around energy. You can look forward to guest speakers and visiting pros.
4. To develop our schools programme. We aim to provide fully ready to go packages to schools around the country!

So what do you think? We'd love to hear your ideas. You're here right at the beginning, and we hope you're as excited about our future as we are!
